ModToast Talon Cuff (Style Inspired by Pamela Love)

The beautiful company behind this Talon Cuff are animal supporters, and I love that. Read more about them here.

With FAll TV back in schedule, what are you tuning into or tuning out? I've started getting back into: 90210 and Gossip girl, of course. Added to my queue: Revenge, The Playboy Club and PanAm. I still haven't had a chance to watch: The Secret Circle, Ringer, Terra Nova or Hart of Dixie. Any good? Reviews? I also can't wait for October 23rd to see what Once Upon a Time is all about. :)

P.S. I was recently interview by I-ELLA. You can read my answers here.

Vintage Blazer (similar styles from Calvin Klein here and in Chambray here), Love Label dress (Similar lace dress here), Vintage bag (similar styles by Marc Jacobs here and Chanel here), Beso Beso rings, Sam Edelman heels

A night at Lincoln Center during New York Fashion Week. This was the evening I spotted True Blood star Janina Gavankar. I have never watched an episode of True Blood, mind you. (Is it overly gory?) I recognized her from watching the short-lives series, The Gates. She is equally stunning, if not more so, in person.

What do you think of my mixing a baby blue blazer with a little black lace dress? I was inspired to mix these two colors thanks to Mary-Kate Olsen. :)

Romwe dress / Guess vest / Chuck Taylor Converse / Ralph Lauren Silver watch / Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses

I think my busiest day during New York Fashion Week took place on Day 8. Waking up extra early for the morning shows. Then, my Spa appointment with Victoria's Secret before lunch. I spent the afternoon in Soho, taking in the sights, shows and a bit of shopping. And topped the evening off with Elie Tahari and dinner at Barney's.

Seriously, I am so incredibly thankful of the good fortune that has come my way because of blogging. I have seen so many new things, learned a lot about myself, and finally made it to New York City, in 2009. The best part? Meeting you guys, my readers. And getting to share these exciting trips and adventures with all of you.

Thank You for your comments and friendships. If I could, I'd throw a party for all of us one day... maybe in Paris or New York? ;)

I love how Fall is finally here. As my family likes to say, my Birthday is the kick off date. Then comes my brother's birthday, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. Fall is my favorite season. I only wish it lasted longer.

When I first tried on this look in my bedroom, I glanced in the full length mirror and envisioned myself touring the Louvre Museum in Paris. There is something so incredibly vogue about body conscious pieces. Especially when slightly, baggier pieces are mixed in, juxtaposing the overall silhouette. That's my personal rule in fact. If one piece of my look is too short or snug, the other piece will compensate by being a tad longer or loose-fitting on my frame. This can add mystery and swank.

The fictional Morticia Addams was best known for the long, tulip skirts she wore around her home. Always admiring this style, and wanting to recreate a similar silhouette, I finally got that chance. Pairing my striped maxi skirt with a crisp, white button blouse was ideal.

Adapting to the changing of seasons, a little bit of turquoise jewelry married in well. Jewelry, to me, is an extension of one's personality. You can tell a lot about a person just from the accessories they choose to wear. I like pieces I can mix and match all year long. And these turquoise pieces from Ippolita do just that!

I relish in attending the big production Fashion Shows during Fashion Week as much as I enjoy partaking in the more intimate presentations. With the Christine Alcalay S/S 2012 Presentation, we were treated to a collection influenced by Greece and Egypt. Sumerian, Roman, Chinese and Irish inflections trickled in as well. I appreciate the idea of being able to walk around the models, see the pieces up close and make eye contact with the designer and her muses. Overall, I found the collection quite amazing. I was transported to the Sixties with some of the pieces. See: White cardigan and shorts. And then to the Seventies with the funky prints and the dazzling maxi skirts and dresses. A little bit Mad Men meets Charlie's Angels, and I like that!

The thing that excites me the most about Fashion Week, is the packed-to-the-gills schedule. I get a kick out of running back and forth between different shows, appointments, meetings and scheduled interviews. It's what I miss the most once I get back home. I have a lot of energy and despise sitting around. I prefer a meaty schedule day in and day out. I think the life of a Fashion Editor is parfait!

Touring the Rebecca Minkoff Showroom

Rebecca Minkoff Showroom, Soho New York, New York Fashion Week
Rebecca Minkoff Showroom, Soho New York, New York Fashion Week

One of my favorite things to do in New York (apart from attending Fashion Week, Shopping, taste-testing new dishes and even sightseeing) is touring Showrooms! It's exciting to be treated to a behind-the-scenes peek at how a company works in a daily setting. Not to mention how fun it is to see the latest prototypes in person. Is caressing a new bag odd? I'm in love with my new Rebecca Minkoff bag. Expect to see it debut (again and again!) on the blog this Fall, and surely into the new Year as well... :)

Have a great weekend!! xo
