September, October, November...

{Rave jacket, Vintage sweater, Topshop skinny jeans, Nightingale bag, Fiorentini + Baker boots}

I feel so refreshed after the long Holiday weekend. I spent it exploring the City, receiving very exciting news, spending time with my family, and eating more sweets than I usually do. I have also decided to extend the Ted Baker contest until tomorrow, Midnight. You have 48 hours left to enter. A winner will be randomly selected and revealed soon after.

How was your weekend? What did you do?

My 4 Days at Trump Soho

Visiting New York, no matter how extended the time, never seems to last long enough. Known as the city that never sleeps; my bones thrive on the energy. Hours of sightseeing on foot, while fun, is equally exhaustive. In between scheduled appointments and spontaneous rendezvous a resting spot is key.

A colossal thank you to Trump Soho (and Coach!) for cordially hosting me. I will miss my plush hotel bed, mind-boggling sights and room service tremendously.

However, I did manage to bring home my slippers and intoxicatingly delicious bath soaps. Trump Soho was truly my home away from home in between go-sees and meetings.

I had the most delightful encounter on my second afternoon, while sitting in the lobby waiting for a friend, I was offered a chilled glass of champagne. Soon after, someone casually took a seat on the couch near me. When I turned to look, I think my eyes bugged out a little. It was Carson Daly. I used to run home from school to watch TRL not so many years ago. He's just as pleasant in person.

The room was sumptuously stocked with Vanity Fair and Ivanka Trump's wares. This picture book encompassed New York City's sights dating back as early as the 1900's.

On my last night, I spotted Rihanna walking in. Later when I ran out for Starbucks across the street, paparazzi were all lined up in front and snapped my photograph --it was a frightening yet equally exhilarating experience. Apparently they were waiting for Rihanna, it still made me smile.

{Don't forget to enter to win $250 from Ted Baker. You have until Midnight, tomorrow.
A winner will be randomly selected and revealed next week. Good luck!!}

The Aviator

{Modcloth jacket, Donni Charm scarf, Ecote backpack, Fiorentini + Baker boots}

My last night in New York was spent trolling Soho for a place to eat. Not being able to decide on a spot last minute with friends led to roaming the West Village and back. I ended up grabbing a hot slice of extra cheesy pizza with Alex and Jason at Bleecker Street Pizza around 10pm. It was well worth the wait! The authentic New York thing to do...

PS:
Have a great Thanksgiving, be safe and enjoy the long weekend!!! Let me know what you'll be serving tomorrow, I would love to know.

Breakfast in Soho

{Vintage coat, Lacoste sweater dress, Ralph Lauren watch, Vintage sunglasses + bag, Fiorentini + Baker boots}

My favorite meal of the day actually isn't breakfast, it's dinner. However, I can't pass up the chance to catch up with friends (Jillian and George) over huevos rancheros. Black beans are one of my favorite dishes, maybe because I'm Cuban? Eggs are an easy go-to, any time of day...

I chose comfort to walk around town in and decided on blending peach and plaid with my all black ensemble..

Coach Holiday Campaign

The Coach Holiday Launch Party was a great success!! When I was first approached by Coach to be a part of this incredible Campaign I was thrilled. Creative Director Reed Krakoff did a wonderful job photographing us for the campaign. I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Coach, as they are always so professional. It's no wonder Coach is such a loved brand. Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate. It was exciting to meet my New York based readers face to face.

{Ok, so I couldn't remember all 8 reindeer on camera, I froze... haha.}

More pictures still to come, from the Coach Party in Soho last Friday...

This weekend our pictures are set to debut in select Coach stores globally....

Moon Safari

Before leaving for New York, I took advantage of the leg baring weather.

{Christian Dior vintage sweater, Forever 21 necklace, Aryn K skirt, Balenciaga sandals}

A few little birds told me to keep smiling in my photographs. I swear I smile and laugh in real life. I just forget to do it on camera, sometimes... ;)

Anyway, what movies make you laugh? Who are your favorite actors? My picks would have to be: Tom Hanks and Michael J. Fox, especially in the eighties. I really want to rent some comedies, suggest away!!!

(More to come on New York and Coach, soon*)

Trench Coat Weather

{Marc Jacobs Trench Coat + Sweater, H&M scarf + jeans, Moschino wedges, Mar Y Sol clutch}

I love my little Detective Coat. I remember when I purchased it, a few years ago, from Barneys New York. My first real Trench Coat and by one of my favorite designers, too. Marc Jacobs really knows his way around minute, attention-grabbing details. I remember it was offered in both this creamy khaki and a semi-deep navy. After countless hours of deliberating between the two, I finally chose.. I'm glad I did, this subtle hue easily mingles with so much more.

Pink + Black

{Aryn K dress, vintage Christian Dior sweater, Aldo Calcagni wedges}

Holiday Party Season has started and I've kicked things off on a pink note. I remember when I was a little girl I would dress my Barbie dolls up in pink, poofy dresses, shocking neon plastic pumps and comb out their hair really, really big. Not much has changed since then, except for maybe the big hair part. I still have an affinity for pink that runs deep. Something about this dress reminds me of the Eighties, Madonna and Jennifer Garner in 13 Going on 30. It's always the unexpected pieces that play a role in making fashion so exciting!
